Alex O'Loughlin Sits in a Conference Room

Hi Moonlighters! Firstly, thanks so very much for your kind comments and your support throughout the life (undeath?) of the show.

Secondly, I felt bad for y'all cruising by my blog for what was really not that exciting a post yesterday, so... Here's a picture of the cast at the table read for MOONLIGHT's finale episode, "Sonata"! Click the pic to see a bigger version.

Check out the glamorous world of making television:

From left to right: David Blue (Logan), Jacob Vargas (Guillermo), Jason Dohring (Josef), Alex O'Loughlin (Mick!), Sophia Myles (Beth!), Robert Scott (Assistant Director), and Fred Toye (Director. He also directed "Fever" and "Out of the Past").

Don't they look, um, riveted?

I'm out of frame with the other half of Fred Toye, along with Ethan Erwin (my co-writer on the episode), executive producer Gabrielle Stanton, co-producer Jill Blotevogel, and our executives from CBS, WBTV, and Silver Pictures.

Big thanks to Jill who had the foresight to snap the photo with her iPhone. I was way too nervous to even think about something sensible like documenting the occasion.

Awww....Kira likes us crazy Moonlight fans!! Such a warm fuzzy feeling! It's so cool to get a behind the scenes peek at out beloved (and yes, UNDEAD) Moonlight.

They do look riveted - the only one who appears to have even picked up that Jill was taking the picture was Jacob! Everyone else is clueless.

Now - pray tell - why were you so nervous?

This was very kind of you! Thanks for letting us see behind the scenes. Moonlight is undead and will rise again, like all great vamps! You and everyone else associated with Moonlight are in our thoughts! This is SO ON.

Thanks, Kira, for posting the pic.

Yep...riveted...

Was Harry out picking up Starbucks for everyone? They looked like they needed it...bad.

Hugs to you, dear lady!!!

Suzanne: This was my first TV script, hence the nervousness. :)

Leeser: Heh, no, the last three episodes were all underway at that point, and Harry was in post-production on "Click."

We were lucky to even get time with Alex and Jill, since "What's Left Behind" was shooting that day. In fact, Alex had just arrived from getting cleaned up after shooting the WWII battle scenes.

Kira...

No wonder he looks so clean cut in that picture...his hair's almost short. I was rewatching WLB last night and I saw where the makeup folks had badly reattached his sideburns to his face.

Ah, the perils of being a constant rewatcher of episodes.

This is just too much fun to look at and to hear what was going on. You are, of course, going to let us know what you're up to.

More hugs (never too many hugs),

Kira...thanks for the photo! Yeah, they look...fascinated. Also noticed that none of the actors saw the photo was being taken (well, Jacob did).

Keep us in the loop about your next project.

Hey, Kira! Love the pic and thanks for sharing. I figured the "behind the scenes" stuff was never as exciting as what ends up on the screen, but then practice makes perfect, right?! LOL

I hope that all is well with you and that you're busy writing something that you are really enjoying. Please let us know when and where we can tune in to see the next great chapter in your career.

I had a blast meeting you at the Con in L.A. and wish you nothing but the best in all future endeavors. You've got talent, girl, and I'm seeing a very bright future for you!

Hugs,

Susan (VAsusieQ18)

It's nice to know what you TV stars look like when you're not all gussied up in full makeup and designer clothes. Yeah, just like us "normal" people. Ha Ha! Thanks for giving us a glimpse into the off-screen process. Sonata was a great episode. Thanks!!
